Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Geghard Karekin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dias has chosen Skrillex - Ragga Bomb as his entrance music. Ricardo Dias told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Karekin appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Dias wants to clinch up but Karekin keeps it at a distance.
Karekin tries to counter with a takedown but Dias is quick to defend against it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Karekin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dias with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Karekin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Karekin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dias's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Karekin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dias looks a forlorn figure.
Karekin cracks Dias with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

BOOM! Karekin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dias is still in real trouble! Can Karekin finish him?
