PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Punani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punani tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lynch manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lynch throws out a counter right but Punani avoids it with no problem.

The fight stays on the outside here - Punani looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lynch has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Punani throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lynch was covering up waiting for the punch and Punani finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
