And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fletcher moves into range and clinches up with Akuapehuale.
Akuapehuale is pressed up against the cage. Fletcher has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Akuapehuale down to the mat. Akuapehuale avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Akuapehuale paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Uriah Fletcher has been cut.
Akuapehuale fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Akuapehuale forces Fletcher back against the cage and clinches.
Akuapehuale has Fletcher pressed against the cage, preventing Fletcher from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Akuapehuale misses with the head strike.
Fletcher is trying to break the clinch but Akuapehuale is controlling him.
Fletcher using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Akuapehuale has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fletcher throws an elbow but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fletcher misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Fletcher.
Akuapehuale lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Akuapehuale misses with a punch on the inside.

Akuapehuale pushes Fletcher back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Akuapehuale.

Fletcher is rocked!
Akuapehuale misses with some punches.
Akuapehuale tries to work over Fletcher's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Fletcher tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Akuapehuale smiles and moves away.

Akuapehuale cracks Fletcher with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Akuapehuale has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fletcher to stand back up!
Oh Fletcher is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Akuapehuale finds Fletcher's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Fletcher flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Akuapehuale lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Fletcher will be OK.
