Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muay Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Sobieski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thai comes to the cage accompanied by Town Called Malice. Sobieski has chosen Kto Cię Obroni Polsko as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Muay Thai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Sobieski!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thai throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sobieski tries to counter by closing the distance.
Sobieski throws the kick towards the body but Thai avoids it.
Thai wants to land a leg kick but Sobieski is out of range.
Sobieski misses with a straight left.
Thai lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sobieski throws a sloppy head kick and Thai moves out of range easily.
Sobieski looks to land a body kick but Thai moved away.
And Thai counters with a quick kick to the body but Sobieski blocks it.
A jab from Sobieski does it's job there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sobieski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thai swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sobieski fails with a takedown attempt.
Thai walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sobieski.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thai throws a hook but Sobieski avoids it easily.
Thai swings for the body but Sobieski moves out of range.
Sobieski steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Thai.
Thai is looking to chop away at Sobieski's legs.

Sobieski tries to clinch but Thai is having none of it.
Jan Sobieski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sobieski takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Thai takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Thai goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nice sprawl there from Thai as Sobieski shoots in.
Thai is looking for a counter combo.
Muay Thai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jan Sobieski.

Thai throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Sobieski looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sobieski.
Thai throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sobieski.

and Thai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Muay Thai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Sobieski makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Thai really felt that one!

and Sobieski counters with a shoot takedown. Thai fights it but they end up in guard.
Sobieski slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sobieski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thai keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Sobieski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A swing and a miss from Thai.

Sobieski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sobieski with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sobieski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thai works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sobieski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thai swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sobieski is looking to work some ground and pound but Thai has wrist control.
Sobieski postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sobieski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Both fighters circling a little - Sobieski finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Thai uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sobieski.

Sobieski moves to clinch but Thai breaks away
and Thai counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Sobieski counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jan Sobieski seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sobieski tries to clinch there but Thai circles away.
Sobieski sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sobieski crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Thai - the referee stops the clock and Sobieski gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Thai. Sobieski manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Thai fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sobieski has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Thai throws a head kick but Sobieski moves out of range.
Sobieski wants to counter the offense by Thai and move into the clinch position.
Thai dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thai throws a wild body kick that Sobieski sees coming a mile off.
Sobieski follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Thai misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jab, jab by Sobieski - just one landing.
A head kick misses from Thai.
A nice leg kick lands there from Thai.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sobieski digs a right hand underneath Thai's ribcage. Thai let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Sobieski is working Thai over against the cage.
Thai blocks a body shot from Sobieski.
Thai will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Sobieski lands a right hand that snaps the head of Thai backwards.
Sobieski has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Thai is trying to push Sobieski away but Sobieski has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Sobieski is looking for a takedown.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Sobieski has Thai pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sobieski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Thai tumbling to the mat - Sobieski dives into Thai's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jan Sobieski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Sobieski is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Sobieski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thai paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Thai thows a body kick. Sobieski tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Thai is looking to wear down Sobieski with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Thai counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sobieski shoots in and drives through. Thai sprawls well.
Sobieski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sobieski tries to land a front kick but Thai steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
An attempted straight right counter from Thai misses the target.
Thai moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Thai scores with a kick to the midsection.
Sobieski takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sobieski avoids the head kick by Thai.
Sobieski changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Thai thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sobieski if he has to take too many more of those.
Whack! Thai lands a heavy head kick that drops Sobieski. The ref tackles Thai to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Sobieski was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Muay Thai!
During a confident post fight interview, Muay Thai thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
