The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurr tries to keep at a distance but Jorgsson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Gurr lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jorgsson is trying to pull guard but Gurr turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gurr throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jorgssons head.
Jorgsson struggles to land a body shot inside as Gurr controls his hands.
Jorgsson fails to pull guard.
Jorgsson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Gurr breaks the clinch.
Jorgsson rushes Gurr and presses him up against the cage.

Gurr throws an elbow that misses. Jorgsson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gurr's guard. Nice move by Jorgsson!

Gurr pushes Jorgsson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Gurr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jorgsson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Jorgsson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Jorgsson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gurr has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the fighters up against the cage, Gurr throws an elbow but misses.

Jorgsson is trying to maintain a safe position but Gurr gets an underhook and turns Jorgsson into the cage.
Gurr is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Jorgsson tries for a takedown but Gurr manages to get underhooks.

Jorgsson goes for a takedown attempt but Gurr pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Gurr stuns Jorgsson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nice shot lands for Gurr.
Gurr looks to land a combination. Jorgsson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Gurr is pawing at Jorgsson, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Jorgsson's nose. Jorgsson is badly hurt! Gurr pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Jorgsson tries desperately to hold on but Gurr is relentless in his assault! As Jorgsson receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Gurr away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Gurr!
