Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johny Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Champ Kind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shadow comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny B. Goode. Johny Shadow had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Champ Kind!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shadow throws a big shot that misses.
Kind scores with a hook to the body. Shadow takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Shadow takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kind throws a lazy body kick

and Shadow counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kind is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kind holds on and takes a little breather.
Kind utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Shadow throws a strike but Kind rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kind seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kind throws a hook but Shadow avoids it easily.

Shadow stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kind.
Shadow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kind tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Shadow is able to avoid easily.
Shadow was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Kind thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kind scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Shadow dives in and grabs Kind's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kind pushes down on Shadow's head and hops out.

Kind walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Shadow checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kind throws a chopping leg kick but Shadow manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Shadow has a takedown stuffed.
Kind attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Shadow drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kind sprawls and moves away.
Kind connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shadow momentarily.

It looks like Johny Shadow has been cut.

Shadow throws a quick inside leg kick.
Shadow throws a body shot but no joy.

Champ Kind seems to be getting the better of the standup.

A solid leg kick lands there for Kind.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kind.
Shadow walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Shadow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kind scores with a kick to the midsection.
Kind throws a solid leg kick but Shadow takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kind.
Kind throws a leg kick which misses Shadow's front leg but catches the back leg as Shadow tries to avoid it.
Kind connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Shadow throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kind stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kind moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

and Kind connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Shadow is rocked!

Johny Shadow's cut is getting worse.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kind throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kind has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A good leg kick by Kind.
Kind fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shadow manages to avoid it.
Kind stuffs the takedown attempt from Shadow. Shadow gets slowly back to his feet.

Kind tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shadow was well out of range. Poor timing from Kind.

Shadow connects with a nice looking jab.
Kind throws a body punch but Shadow moves out of range.
Shadow attempts a counter takedown but Kind avoids it well and moves away.

Kind takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Shadow counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kind is controlling Shadow's posture.
Shadow throws a big right hand that misses.
Shadow throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kind works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Shadow throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kind has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Champ Kind showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Shadow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kind as he avoids it easily.

A nice leg kick lands there from Kind.
Shadow takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Shadow closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kind to the mat! Kind manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kind lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shadow is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kind postures up.

Shadow escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kind gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kind trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shadow wants to sweep here but Kind controlling him for the moment.
Johny Shadow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kind slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Shadow working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kind doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kind manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kind passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Shadow is letting Kind control him for a moment.
Kind wants to stand but Shadow has his arm trapped.
Shadow is not content to let Kind control the position.
Shadow tries to bench press Kind off him but Kind keeps the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kind stands up.
Shadow takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kind connects with a leg kick. Shadow looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Kind misses with an attempted mid kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Johny Shadow's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Kind finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
