The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walters tries for a takedown but Theiles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Theiles shoots in for a double leg but Walters sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Theiles shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walters as he avoids it easily.

Walters tries to bench press Theiles off him but Theiles keeps the position.
Walters regains half guard there - taking advantage of Theiles's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Walters is refusing to be controlled, as Theiles sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walters kicks Theiles off and gets back to his feet.

Walters moves into the clinch successfully.
Theiles tries to score a body lock takedown but Walters shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Nicolas Walters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azogo Theiles.
Theiles is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Walters stops a takedown attempt from Theiles.

Walters breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Walters closes the distance and clinches up with Theiles, looking for a takedown. Walters pushes Theiles against the cage but Theiles circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Theiles drives through with a takedown into Walters's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Theiles has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Walters to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Theiles is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Walters pulls down on the head and he's put Theiles to sleep! This one is all over!
