Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Sutter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lionil Besi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Besi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sutter defends it well.
Sutter throws a lazy right hand but Besi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Besi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Sutter lands with a straight right. Besi didn't see that one coming.
Besi takes one to the side of the head.
Besi needs to keep his hands up - Sutter had a free shot at his head there.
Sutter ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sutter throws a hook but Besi avoids it easily.

Sutter looks to land a right hand but Besi moved out of range.

It looks like Besi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

You get the feeling that Sutter really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Besi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Besi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Sutter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sutter fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Horrible takedown attempt by Besi or perhaps it was just good defense by Sutter, which made it look bad.
Sutter swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Besi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sutter defends well and Besi ends up having to push Sutter into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Mark Sutter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lionil Besi.
Besi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sutter sprawls well. Sutter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Besi gets slowly back to his feet.

Besi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Besi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sutter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Besi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Besi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Besi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sutter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sutter tries to get out of the position.
