The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scotty Bennet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bennet does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bennet shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Stefans is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bennet is working Stefans over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bennet lands a nice shot that snaps Stefans's head back.

Bennet lands a nice hook to Stefans's body. Stefans takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stefans, as that shot connected.
Bennet is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stefans can do to turn this around?

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Stefans lands a big head kick that sends Bennet tumbling to the mat! Stefans takes a step backwards and waves Bennet back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Stefans counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bennet! Stefans lets Bennet back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

and Stefans scores with a counter punch that sends Bennet to the canvas! Stefans smells blood - he's punishing Bennet with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Bennet has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
