The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burt tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Israel Burt has been cut.
Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burt circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Burt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.
Smith pushes Burt up against the cage in a clinch.

Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target.
Smith throws a right hand that Burt ducks under and follows up with a left that Burt also avoids with ease.
Smith lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Smith has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Smith looks to land a combination but Burt avoids it well.
Burt throws a big counter combination but Smith scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Frank Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burt has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with Burt's head.
Smith lands a nice leg kick that just misses Burt's sensitive parts.
Smith misses the jab.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Smith enables Burt to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Smith manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Smith is looking to stand back up but Burt counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Smith.

Smith is looking to get back to is feet but Burt passes into side control.
Smith tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Smith is trying to get back to his feet but Burt has full control of the position and if anything, Smith has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Burt is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Smith is trying to escape but he's just digging himself into more trouble. Burt manages to sink in the hooks and gets a rear naked choke to end the fight in impressive fashion.
