Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mcfly Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcfly Johns told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Sanders wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Johns fails to land the takedown.
Sanders went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Johns scores with a shot to the body.

Johns tries to pull guard but Sanders holds him up against the cage and eventually Johns drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johns tries to get to full guard but Sanders has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Ray Sanders will probably get the nod.

Johns stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanders. Sanders gets slowly back to his feet.
Johns looks for a takedown but Sanders sprawls well.
Sanders looks to land a left hand but Johns moved out of range nicely.
Johns goes for a double leg but Sanders avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sanders continues to drive forward.

Sanders thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ray Sanders overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Johns seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Sanders's chin but Sanders turns very nicely into Johns's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Sanders.

Sanders stands and steps away. Johns gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Sanders counters with a crisp one two that drops Johns! Sanders thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Johns to his feet! Johns is in big trouble!

Johns wants to get back to striking at distance but Sanders won't allow it.
Sanders jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johns walks away with a smile on his face. Sanders gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sanders ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sanders no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sanders pulls Johns in close to prevent any damage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ray Sanders will probably get the nod.

Johns is thwarting Sanders's attempts to control the position.

Sanders is pressing down on Johns's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

I would just about give that final round to Mcfly Johns.
I think Sanders has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
