Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pale Monster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Polo comes to the cage accompanied by On The Floor. Monster is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Therapy . Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monster rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Polo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Monster is trying hard to land a takedown here. Polo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Polo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've been hearing reports that Polo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
A slapping leg kick lands for Polo.
Polo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Polo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Polo throws a wild body kick that Monster sees coming a mile off.
Monster fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Polo manages to avoid it.
Monster tries for a takedown but Polo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Polo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Monster keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Polo looking to score a takedown here. Monster is defending well but Polo drives through and ends up in Monster's guard.
Polo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Monster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Polo wants to stand but Monster is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Polo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Monster is looking for a triangle but Polo pushes his legs off easily.

Polo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Monster has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Polo has managed to get both his arms back between Monster's legs - danger averted.

Polo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Monster has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Polo is looking to defend but Monster has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Polo! Monster pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Polo taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Pale Monster!
Our winner, Pale Monster, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
