Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pekka Kindmark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manolito Damhuis!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kindmark works the jab nicely.
Damhuis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kindmark lands with an uppercut that bounces Damhuis off the cage and back into range.
Damhuis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Manolito Damhuis has been cut.
Kindmark scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Damhuis has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kindmark throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A bone on bone clash there as Kindmark blocks the leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Kindmark. That snapped Damhuis's head back.
Damhuis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kindmark cracks Damhuis with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Damhuis tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Kindmark pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Damhuis is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pekka Kindmark!
An out of breath Pekka Kindmark thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
