Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pyotr Korobeikin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Wobinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pyotr Korobeikin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Wobinson!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korobeikin connects with a nice looking jab.

We've been hearing good reports from Korobeikin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Korobeikin throws out a loose jab but Wobinson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Korobeikin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wobinson was covering up waiting for the punch and Korobeikin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Korobeikin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wobinson can do to turn this around?
Korobeikin can't control as he wanted to and Wobinson manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Korobeikin in particular looking to stall.
Wobinson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Pyotr Korobeikin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wobinson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Well, if Korobeikin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Korobeikin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Korobeikin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wobinson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Korobeikin has managed to get both his arms back between Wobinson's legs - danger averted.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Korobeikin changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Wobinson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Korobeikin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wobinson somewhat.

Wobinson is staying active underneath Korobeikin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Korobeikin is looking to advance position but Wobinson won't allow it.
Korobeikin is taking a breather. Wobinson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Korobeikin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wobinson did well to prevent Korobeikin getting side control.

Korobeikin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wobinson for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Korobeikin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Korobeikin lands in his opponent's guard.
