The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leon shoots in but Karlsson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Leon forces Karlsson back against the cage and clinches.
Karlsson can't break the clinch.
Leon is looking to break free of the clinch but Karlsson has double underhooks.
Leon misses with a body punch.
Karlsson tries to pull guard but Leon forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Leon throws his legs up looking for a submission but Karlsson uses it to pass to side control.
Leon pushes Karlsson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Karlsson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Karlsson is landing with some decent strikes but Leon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Leon takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Leon wants to get back to his feet but Karlsson drags him back down.
