Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between PePe Hapitchou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kota Ibushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hapitchou's entrance music is Blackalicious - Sky is falling. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Darius Henderson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ibushi tries to move into range but Hapitchou moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hapitchou scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ibushi wants to clinch.

and Hapitchou counters with a nice uppercut.

Hapitchou definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Hapitchou uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ibushi.
Hapitchou was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Ibushi's coach down at Great Bash Heel was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ibushi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hapitchou wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kota Ibushi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ibushi ducks right into an uppercut from Hapitchou.

Sloppy strikes from Ibushi. Those never looked like landing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ibushi stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Hapitchou throws up his legs and catches Ibushi in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Ibushi tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Hapitchou! That came out of nowhere!
