Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akiro Sata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Schoots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sata might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Onward to Victory!. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akiro Sata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nathan Schoots!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sata will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Schoots shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sata's guard.

Schoots misses with a hook. Sata ducked under it nicely.

Schoots keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Akiro Sata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jab, jab by Schoots - just one landing.
Sata punishes Schoots's body with a nice straight punch.
Sata slips a jab from Schoots.
Schoots ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schoots lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sata circles away quickly and effectively.
A little feinted left hand from Sata on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Schoots's coach down at Javi´ Corner was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Schoots's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sata looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Schoots swats away the attempt to clinch by Sata.
Sata looks to land a combination. Schoots sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

No joy there for Schoots, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Schoots is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sata sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sata slips a jab from Schoots.
Sata throws a shot from downtown. Schoots moves away and avoids it.
Sata tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schoots paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sata scores with a crisp jab that stopped Schoots in his tracks.
Sata throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Schoots stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Schoots gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sata.
Sata takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Schoots goes for a double leg but Sata avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sata continues to drive forward.
Sata thuds his right hand into Schoots's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sata lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sata looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Sata comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Schoots misses with a takedown

and Sata counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Akiro Sata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Schoots.
Sata is taking a breather. Schoots says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Schoots is looking for a sweep. Sata is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Schoots has a hand on Sata's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Sata takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Sata is working for an americana but Schoots has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Sata was thinking about the submission.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sata connects with a nice short shot to Schoots's temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd cheers as Sata lands an impressive looking overhand right. Schoots doesn't seem phased though.

Donk. Sata catches Schoots right on the button with a cross.
Schoots throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Schoots leaves Sata with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Akiro Sata showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sata has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Akiro Sata thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
