Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shoddy Body (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Katona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leo Katona will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Katona misses
and Body counters with a nice body kick.
Body throws a jab when Katona was well out of range.
Katona throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Katona avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Katona throws a head kick that misses.
Katona moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Body looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Body controlling the action here.
Katona wants to control but Body is keeping busy.
Body seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Katona is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Body seems to be working for a kimura but Katona defends the submission attempt.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Body throws a wild body kick that Katona sees coming a mile off.
Katona tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Body paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Body misses with a hook. Katona ducked under it nicely.
Katona unleashes a big counter combination but Body bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Body looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Body misses with a wild body shot.
Katona tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Body wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Katona lands a two punch combo.

Body closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Katona did well to prevent Body getting side control.
Katona wants to control but Body is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Katona manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Katona is trying to keep Body in close.
Katona might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Body haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Katona has an active guard here but Body has managed to pass into half guard.
