PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thurman Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arse Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arse Face!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Potts clinches up with Face and pushes him back against the cage.

Potts breaks from the clinch.
Potts circles away from the clinch attempt.
Potts misses with a head kick.
Face looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
As Face tries to get set, Potts tries to push him back and clinch up but Face manages to avoid the attempt.
Potts throws a sloppy head kick
letting Face counter with a right hand.

It looks like Thurman Potts has been cut.

Potts closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Potts throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Face blocks it with crossed arms.
Potts with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Potts with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Potts with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Potts lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Arse Face has been cut.
Potts missing with knees to the body.
Potts is pushing Face up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Potts landing knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Face is looking to control Potts's arms but Potts gets an underhook and turns him. Now Face has his back to the cage.
Face on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Potts with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Potts could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Potts manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Potts looking to throw knees to the head but Face is blocking nicely.
Face fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Potts scores with a knee to the head.
Face looks winded!
Potts is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Face is defending well for now.
Face is pressed up against the cage. Potts has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Face down to the mat. Face avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Face tries to clinch up but Potts circles away and keeps his distance.
Face takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Potts tries for a takedown but Face sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Potts tries a head kick but it misses.
Face is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Potts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Potts throws a leg kick but Face moved away.
Face shoots in and drives through. Potts sprawls well.
Potts is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Thurman Potts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arse Face.
Potts shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Potts throws a head kick but Face moves out of range.
Face tries to clinch but Potts is having none of it.

Oooooh!!! Potts has knocked Face down with a huge combo! Potts steps away and waves a wobbly Face back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Potts instigates a clinch.

Potts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Potts ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Look low, kick high! Potts uses the oldest trick in the book to send Face tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Potts is absolutely delighted - when Face wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
