The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Theron misses its intended target.
Theron shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boulks as he jumps to the side.
Boulks displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Theron.
Theron throws out a loose jab but Boulks uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boulks swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Theron swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It looked like Boulks wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
No luck for Theron with that takedown attempt.

Theron closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Boulks quickly recovers to half guard.

Theron shoots in looking for a takedown but Boulks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Theron's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
