PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simbo Klice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Neely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neely has chosen Cracker - Low as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jack Neely was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

With a record of 33 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Neely!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neely throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Klice works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Neely throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Neely wants to pass the guard but Klice is keeping the position.
Klice avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Klice lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Neely connects with a body shot that sends Klice's belly button to the back.
Neely throws a head kick that misses.
Neely lands a slapping body shot.
Neely throws a predictable looking body shot
and Klice counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We've been told by Klice's head coaches at Riddum Elite that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Klice fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Neely checks it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Klice. Neely does a little dance to reset his feet.

Neely keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Neely is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Klice rather than just go for the knockout.
Klice thuds his right hand into Neely's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Klice swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Neely gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Klice counters with a leg kick.

Klice feints and then cracks Neely's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Neely down.

That has opened up Jack Neely's cut even more.
Klice swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Neely.
Neely misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Klice.
Klice avoids a kick to the body.
Klice looks to score with a jab to the body but Neely is just out of range.
Neely throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Neely lands a right hook to the body.
Klice lands a jab to the nose.
Neely shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Klice but Klice pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Klice fires out a quick counter leg kick but Neely just manages to avoid it.
Neely throws a front kick aimed at Klice's knee but Klice avoids it well.
Neely throws a lazy uppercut
and Klice counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Klice misses with a looping left.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neely wants to land a leg kick but Klice is out of range.
Klice avoids the head kick by Neely.
An attempted straight right counter from Klice misses the target.
Neely throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Klice's waist but Klice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Neely off to one side.
Neely misses the body punch
and Klice counters with a nice uppercut.


The cut above Jack Neely's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Neely doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Klice counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Simbo Klice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Neely.
Klice sizes up Neely with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Klice, right into the meat.
Klice buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Klice throws a jab when Neely was well out of range.

Neely shoots in and drives through. Klice sprawls well.

Jack Neely's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jack Neely's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Simbo Klice!
Simbo Klice retains his heavyweight title!
