Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brett tries to sprawl but Caine drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Caine is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brett doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Caine.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Brett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Caine is aware though and is defending well.

Caine drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brett looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brett looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brett!

We've been hearing good reports from Brett's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Caine throws a strike but Brett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Caine throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Brett escapes and throws Caine's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Caine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brett manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Caine misses with a low kick.
Brett half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Caine comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Brett takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Caine tries to close the distance and clinch but Brett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Caine changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
