Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Hecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Kula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hecker's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Ultimate Warrior. Kula has chosen Bullet - Bite the Bullet as his entrance music. Kalle Kula acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Hecker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalle Kula!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kula gets tackled into the cage by Hecker. Hecker maintains the clinch.
Hecker is pressed up against the cage. Kula has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hecker down to the mat. Hecker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hecker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hecker is looking for a counter combo.
No luck for Kula with that takedown attempt.
Jeff Hecker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalle Kula.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You get the feeling that Hecker really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Kula jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hecker manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Kula is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hecker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kula thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hecker tries to escape but Kula is in control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kula drops back looking for a leg! Hecker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hecker manages to kick Kula off! Kula jumps back into Hecker's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kula drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hecker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hecker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hecker!

Hecker tries to get to his feet but Kula is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Hecker in his guard.

Kula had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hecker defends it easily.

Hecker stands and steps away. Kula gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kalle Kula will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hecker.

Hecker tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Kula is rocked!

Hecker has closed the distance and engaged Kula in a clinch.
Kula is still on wobbly legs! Can Hecker finish him?

Kula goes for a takedown attempt but Hecker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hecker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Hecker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kula can do to turn this around?
Hecker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kula.

Hecker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kula moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kula uses his free foot to push down on Hecker's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hecker.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kula is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hecker has managed to escape the submission attempt.

In defeat, Kalle Kula stepped up to the mic, saying 'Tonight he was stronger then me, but I'll come back, better and stronger then ever! Thanks to all my fans for showing your support!!'.
