Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Armstrong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Solis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Armstrong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Armstrong tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Armstrong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Solis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Armstrong slows the pace down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Armstrong working away.
Solis is trying to get back to his feet.

Solis tries to buck Armstrong off but Armstrong is having none of it.
Solis looks to move to half guard but instead Armstrong has passed into mount! Damn!
Armstrong thowing shots but they're missing.
Armstrong looking to control but Solis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Armstrong misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Armstrong can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Solis is looking to escape.
Armstrong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Solis is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Armstrong misses with a head shot.
Solis is trying to escape the mount.
Armstrong tries to control but Solis wriggling away.
Armstrong avoids the attempt from Solis to control.
Armstrong controlling the position easily from mount.

Armstrong wants to control the pace but Solis is squirming around nicely.
Solis has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
A lull in the action here.
I would not like to be Solis right now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Solis wants to get back to his feet.
Armstrong tries to get the hooks in deep but Solis pushed the leg off.
Solis is trying to break free.

Solis defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Armstrong's arms.

Armstrong working for a choke but Solis reverses nicely into Armstrong 's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Solis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Armstrong dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
