Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rory Marks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Hill!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill keeps the fight on the outside.

Hill looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Marks!
Marks prevents Hill from improving position.

Hill goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Marks has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hill but great work by Marks.
Hill struggling a bit here.
Hill is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Marks is staying active.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill is looking for a sweep.
Hill sneaks back into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Marks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hill is just riding it out for now. Marks eventually gives up the hold.
Marks really is a fat lump.
Marks working over Hill with some ground and pound. Hill looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Hill moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hill is pulling down on Marks's head. It's preventing any offense from Marks, at least for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hill looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hill wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Marks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hill is continuing to stall.
Marks is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marks with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Marks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hill on the ground.
Hill wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Let's hope that Hill has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hill.
Hill shoots in but Marks avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hill shoots in but no luck this time.
Marks is looking to counter punch.
Rory Marks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Hill.
Hill tries to clinch up
letting Marks counter with a right hand.
Marks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marks lands a slapping body shot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hill.
Marks is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hill.
Hill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marks sprawls well. Marks wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hill gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rory Marks dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


No luck for Hill with that takedown attempt.
Marks tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hill manages to circle out of the way.

Hill shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Marks napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Marks is trying to buck Hill off.
Hill throws a strike aimed at the side of Marks's head but Marks avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill trying to control the position but Marks is working away.
Hill prevents Marks from escaping the position.

Hill is working to tighten his grip on Marks's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Marks has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hill is really squeezing tight and eventually Marks passes out! Hill breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Gary Hill!
