Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robbo Audi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Robbo Audi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryan Pain!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pain rushes Audi and presses him up against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Audi gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pain can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pain's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Audi tries to stall but Pain uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Audi dodges an elbow strike from Pain.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Pain obliges.

Audi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pain uses from the top position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Pain forces Audi back against the cage and clinches.

Audi pulls guard successfully.
Pain wanted to stand there but Audi had control of the position.
Audi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Audi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pain manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pain is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Audi is controlling him.
