And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toyoki Kawamura!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gustaffson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gustaffson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kawamura holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Kawamura is trying to escape the position but Gustaffson is controlling the position.

Gustaffson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gustaffson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kawamura manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Gustaffson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kawamura is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gustaffson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Toyoki Kawamura really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Kore Fight Nutrition [TG] logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
