The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nieves stuffs the takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.
Diaz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nieves defends well and Diaz ends up having to push Nieves into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Diaz lands a left and a right that send Nieves crashing to the mat, dazed. Diaz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Diaz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nieves swivels and escapes.
Nieves leaves Diaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Diaz has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Diaz cracks Nieves with a hook to the temple - Nieves is on wobbly legs here! Diaz swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Nieves falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Diaz wins by TKO!
