Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lil Homie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Hansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johan Hansson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Homie shoots for a double leg takedown but Hansson sprawls well. He's pushed Homie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Homie fails with the takedown.

Hansson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Homie quickly recovers to half guard.
Hansson passes to full mount!
Homie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hansson is standing up, even though he is in mount.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Homie is defended easily by Hansson.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Still in half guard, Hansson seems content to control.
Homie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hansson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Homie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hansson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hansson's back!
Hansson rolls, trying to escape but Homie keeps control of the position.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Homie tries to keep control of the position but Hansson is staying busy.

Homie is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hansson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Homie's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Hansson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Homie is trying to control the action in half guard but Hansson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Homie shoots in looking for a takedown but Hansson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Homie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hansson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hansson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hansson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Homie was covering up waiting for the punch and Hansson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hansson wants to pass the guard but Homie is keeping the position.

Homie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hansson defends it easily.

Hansson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hansson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Homie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Homie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hansson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Homie has managed to get both his arms back between Hansson's legs - danger averted.
