Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Master Roshi!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington doesn't manage to clinch there - Roshi circles away.
Washington throws a looping overhand right but Roshi ducks down to avoid it.
Washington fails with an attempt to clinch.
Elias Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Washington has closed the distance and engaged Roshi in a clinch.
Washington misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Roshi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Roshi throws a right hand that Washington ducks under and follows up with a left that Washington also avoids with ease.
Washington takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
No joy there for Roshi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roshi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Washington's head backwards.
Washington tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roshi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Roshi throws a nice looking combination but Washington bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

A telegraphed right hand from Washington misses the target.
Roshi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Roshi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Washington sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Washington will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Washington tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roshi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Roshi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Washington closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Roshi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Roshi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Washington moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Washington shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Roshi lands a nice hook to Washington's body. Washington takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Roshi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Washington tries to clinch but Roshi moves out of range.

Washington went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Roshi tries to bum rush Washington with a series of wild strikes but Washington uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Washington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Washington tries to close the distance and clinch but Roshi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Washington moves out of range as Roshi strikes.
Roshi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Washington looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Washington really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Roshi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Roshi.


Washington is rocked!
Roshi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Washington had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Washington misses with a hook. Roshi ducked under it nicely.
Roshi throws out a counter right but Washington avoids it with no problem.
Oh Washington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Roshi circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Master Roshi dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Roshi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Roshi might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Roshi jabs Washington to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Roshi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Washington swings away with a body shot that misses
and Roshi counters with a nice uppercut.
Roshi cracks Washington with an open hand slap.

Oooooh!!! Roshi has knocked Washington down with a huge combo! Roshi steps away and waves a wobbly Washington back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Washington looks up at the clock. Bad move! Roshi lands a right hand from hell, dropping Washington. Roshi pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Master Roshi!
A very excited looking Master Roshi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
