The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gennero takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A head kick misses from Funk.
Gennero has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Funk is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Gennero throws a hook but Funk avoids it easily.
Funk tries to counter by clinching up but Gennero breaks away and moves out of range.
Funk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gennero swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Funk tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gennero manages to circle out of the way.
Gennero throws a big shot that misses.
Gennero swings for the body but Funk moves out of range.

As Gennero tries to get set, Funk tries to push him back and clinch up but Gennero manages to avoid the attempt.

and Gennero counters with an outside leg kick.
Funk tries to clinch but Gennero moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Funk moves in looking to clinch but Gennero pushes him off.

Funk throws a head kick that misses.
Gennero catches Funk with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Funk tries to clinch up but Gennero circles away and keeps his distance.

Funk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gennero moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Funk tries to counter by clinching up but Gennero breaks away and moves out of range.
Gennero connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Funk's hands.
Funk is rocked!
Gennero cracks Funk with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
