Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caio Cesar Caprillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caprillo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caio Cesar Caprillo!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caprillo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Li's head backwards.
Caprillo throws a big shot that misses.
Caprillo just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromLi.
Caprillo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Li throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Caprillo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

I was talking to Li's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Caprillo rushes Li and presses him up against the cage.
Li is pressed up against the cage. Caprillo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Li down to the mat. Li avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Li is fighting off a takedown attempt but Caprillo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Li to the mat. Li regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Caprillo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Caio Cesar Caprillo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Li lands a big head kick that sends Caprillo tumbling to the mat! Li takes a step backwards and waves Caprillo back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Caprillo is rocked!
Caprillo drops his hands momentarily and Li needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Caprillo just on the top of the head. Caprillo drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Caprillo - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). David Li!
A very excited looking David Li rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
