The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daly's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Daly duly obliges.

Daly closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Taylor did well to prevent Daly getting side control.
Daly stalling away here and it's allowed Taylor to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Taylor is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Daly looking to pass the guard.
Taylor seems keen to control Daly's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Taylor is on top in guard.

Taylor could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Taylor postures up in Daly's guard and throws a big left but Daly blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daly wants to get back to his feet but Taylor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daly can do anything to dispel that myth.
