With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vlado Kurlev!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carney misses with a low kick.
Kurlev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carney defends well and Kurlev ends up having to push Carney into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Carney is looking to counter with head kicks.
Kurlev looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kurlev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kurlev drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Carney dives on top into guard.

Carney throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kurlev works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kurlev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kurlev manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carney manages to get himself to full guard.

Kurlev slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kurlev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kurlev wants to control from the top but Carney keeps moving.

Carney has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kurlev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carney plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Carney gets caught flat footed, as Kurlev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Carney is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Carney keeping moving, preventing Kurlev from controlling successfully.

Kurlev shoots in looking for a takedown. Carney tries to sprawl out of it but Kurlev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carney manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Denis Carney showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carney, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
