Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darth Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darth Vader could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Neil Drake's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vader throws an overhand right that lands on Drake's shoulder, as Drake tries to avoid the shot.

Drake has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vader was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Vader fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Drake to the ground. Vader is now in Drake's guard.

Drake has his foot on Vader 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vader works his way back into a safe position though.

Vader got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drake has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vader has managed to get both his arms back between Drake's legs - danger averted.

Vader is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Drake gets his way!
