Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Art Jimmerson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimmerson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Marstars looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Marstars connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A combination from Jimmerson does no damage.
Marstars throws the left hand but Jimmerson avoids the punch easily.
Marstars wants to clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Marstars misses the target.
Jimmerson scores with a jab. Marstars acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Marstars gets a clinch.
We've been informed that Jimmerson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Marstars gets through Jimmerson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jimmerson blocks an elbow strike.
I was talking to Marstars's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jimmerson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Marstars's elbow.
Jimmerson dodges an elbow strike from Marstars.
Marstars's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Jimmerson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Marstars works on Jimmerson's body with a couple of short punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marstars throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jimmerson blocks it with crossed arms.
Jimmerson tries to work over Marstars's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Jimmerson as Marstars tries to tie him up.
Jimmerson tries to break the clinch but Marstars is controlling the position.

Jimmerson blocks an elbow strike from Marstars.
Marstars lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Marstars throws an elbow but it misses.
Jimmerson being controlled against the ropes.

Still in the clinch, Marstars scores with a nice short uppercut.
A bit of stalling here from Marstars.
Marstars has Jimmerson pressed against the ropes, preventing Jimmerson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Marstars comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
The referee is keeping an eye on Marstars - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Jimmerson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Marstars misses with a few strikes there.

Marstars tries to clinch but Jimmerson is having none of it.

Marstars on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Jimmerson grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Marstars takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Jimmerson cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
