Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Hugg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anand Pawar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anand Pawar!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugg shoots in looking for a takedown but Pawar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hugg's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hugg scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hugg tries to clinch but Pawar moves out of range.

Pawar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hugg is looking for a sweep.
Pawar cracks Hugg with a big elbow.
Hugg is looking to regain half guard here but Pawar keeps moving and retains side control.

Hugg is trying to buck Pawar off.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pawar is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hugg looks calm but he's in trouble here. Pawar gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hugg is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pawar lets go of the hold and Hugg can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Anand Pawar!
A relieved looking Anand Pawar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
