Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richie Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Henley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Right On Target. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richie Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Henley!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Henley fails to land the takedown.
Henley throws a left and a right that both miss
and Price counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Price throws a quick inside leg kick.
Henley shoots in looking for a takedown. Price tries to sprawl out of it but Henley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Price manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Price paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henley misses with a hook
and Price connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Henley feints and as Price raises his hands in defense, Henley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Henley is looking to work some ground and pound but Price has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Price is pulling down on Henley's head. It's preventing any offense from Henley, at least for the moment.
Henley wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving.

My spies in Gorilla Warfare MMA inform me that Henley has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Price is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Henley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Price is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Price working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Henley works over Price with some ground and pound from guard.
Henley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Price's head.
Henley distracts Price with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Henley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Henley looking to sit in guard and control but Price gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Henley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Price got a little sloppy there for a moment and Henley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Price has managed to get both his arms back between Henley's legs - danger averted.

Henley stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ben Henley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

I've got Henley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
