Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Bannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Momoshiro Kitsune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitsune is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 僕はミス・テイク~. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeremy Bannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Momoshiro Kitsune!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kitsune has closed the distance and engaged Bannon in a clinch.
Bannon's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bannon pulls guard.
Kitsune won't allow Bannon to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kitsune postures up.

Kitsune got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bannon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kitsune has managed to get both his arms back between Bannon's legs - danger averted.
Kitsune throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bannon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kitsune stands and throws Bannon's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kitsune is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bannon has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kitsune misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Kitsune postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Bannon dodges the ground and pound from Kitsune.
Kitsune has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bannon tries to improve position but can't.

Kitsune has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kitsune closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bannon circles away.
Bannon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Bannon moves into range and clinches up with Kitsune.
Kitsune tries to score a body lock takedown but Bannon shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kitsune is trying to pull guard but Bannon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Jeremy Bannon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Momoshiro Kitsune.
Kitsune wants a takedown but no success here.

Bannon is pushing Kitsune up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Bannon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kitsune shoots in but no luck this time.

Bannon can't find room to land a body shot as Kitsune controls the action.
Kitsune tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bannon just stands there and leans against the cage.
The referee calls for Bannon to work.
Kitsune is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bannon to keep the fight standing.
Bannon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kitsune is looking to take this one to the mat.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bannon stalls.

Bannon jumps into guard, dragging Kitsune to the mat.
Kitsune missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kitsune wants to control from the top but Bannon keeps moving.
Kitsune wants to pass the guard but Bannon is keeping the position.
Kitsune throws a big right hand that misses.

Bannon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kitsune gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bannon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kitsune can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kitsune advances position into side control!

Kitsune sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bannon is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Kitsune wants to control but Bannon is keeping him busy.
Kitsune looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Kitsune has hold of Bannon's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bannon tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kitsune cranks the arm and Bannon screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bannon, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Momoshiro Kitsune!
Momoshiro Kitsune really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Dissolution Fight Wear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
