Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bittor Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcracken comes to the cage accompanied by Onra - I Wanna Go Back. Xavier is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jane's Addiction- Mountain Song. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil Mcracken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bittor Xavier!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcracken shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Xavier manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Xavier is trying to hold Mcracken in close to prevent damage but Mcracken has managed to pass into half guard.
Xavier is looking for a sweep. Mcracken is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mcracken wants to stand up but Xavier is controlling the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Xavier enables Mcracken to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Xavier manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Mcracken is not content to let Xavier control the position.

Bittor Xavier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Xavier is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Mcracken jumps into side control!

Mcracken takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Xavier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Xavier takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mcracken manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Mcracken tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Xavier.
Xavier trying to get back to full guard but Mcracken takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Xavier bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mcracken is on top in guard.


Xavier is looking for a triangle here but Mcracken uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Phil Mcracken showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Mcracken has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Phil Mcracken spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
