Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Dalit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Dee BJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dexter Dalit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Dee BJ!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalit scores with a punch to the head.
BJ is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dalit with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A punch combination from BJ misses.
A counter left hand to the body from Dalit misses its target.
Dalit misses with a series of wild punches.
Dalit connects with a single shot there.

BJ shoots in and gets a takedown into Dalit's guard.
Dalit on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dalit tries to get out of the position.
BJ won't allow Dalit to get back to his feet.
BJ throws a big elbow that misses.
BJ throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dalit works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

and Dalit counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dalit. That's going to slow BJ down.
BJ throws a body punch but Dalit moves out of range.
Dalit stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dalit wants it to stay on the feet.
Dalit sizes up BJ with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dalit smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
BJ tries to clinch there but Dalit circles away.

BJ dives in and scores a takedown into Dalit's guard.
Dalit keeping moving, preventing BJ from controlling successfully.

Dalit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

BJ has gone for a leg lock! Dalit slips out almost immediately though and dives into BJ's guard.


BJ throws his legs up looking for a submission but Dalit uses it to pass to side control.
BJ has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
BJ is looking to regain half guard here but Dalit keeps moving and retains side control.
BJ wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
BJ can't do much from the bottom here.

BJ wants to get back to his feet but Dalit is dominant here and he's now got BJ's back!
I really don't envy BJ right now.
BJ turns into Dalit and is now in his guard.
Dalit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
BJ in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
BJ working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
BJ is looking to work some ground and pound but Dalit has wrist control.

BJ chips away with some ground and pound.
BJ won't allow Dalit to get back to his feet.
Dalit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
BJ working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
BJ throws an elbow that misses. Dalit uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in BJ's guard. Nice move by Dalit!

BJ is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

BJ working for a triangle but Dalit defends it easily.

BJ looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dalit passes into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dexter Dalit will probably get the nod.
That's time! Dalit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dalit throws a body punch but BJ moves out of range.
Dalit connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Dalit works BJ's body with a nice hook.
Dalit throws a looping overhand right but BJ ducks down to avoid it.

Dalit is looking to slow BJ down with leg kicks.
BJ fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
BJ throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dalit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
BJ walks into a jab.
Dalit throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent BJ stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dalit lands the left hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A jab lands there for Dalit.
Dalit throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Some wild striking there from Dalit.
BJ avoids the body shot from Dalit.
BJ is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dalit.
Dexter Dalit is winning the standup battle so far.
Dalit stuffs the takedown.
BJ fails with the takedown.
Dexter Dalit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Dee BJ.
BJ tries to clinch up but Dalit circles away and keeps his distance.
Dalit wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Dalit's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

BJ tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dalit just stands there and leans against the cage.

Dalit fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Dalit connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between BJ's hands.
Dalit jabs BJ to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Dalit connects with a body shot that sends BJ's belly button to the back.
BJ on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
BJ takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
BJ has his takedown stuffed
and Dalit counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dalit bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps BJ's head backwards.
Dalit is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that BJ can do to turn this around?

BJ tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dalit defends well and BJ ends up having to push Dalit into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

BJ takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
BJ tries to clinch but Dalit is having none of it.

BJ changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dalit tries to avoid it but BJ manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dalit to the ground. Dalit escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

BJ shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dalit pinned against the cage. Dalit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dalit.
Dalit ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

BJ misses with a two punch combination.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

BJ's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dalit connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! BJ scrambles back to his feet.

A solid leg kick lands there for Dalit.
Dalit lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dalit paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Dalit throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

BJ has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

BJ shoots in looking for a takedown. Dalit tries to sprawl out of it but BJ keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dalit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dalit throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Dalit drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks BJ right on the button. BJ goes down! Dalit follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Dalit gets the win via TKO!

During a confident post fight interview, Dexter Dalit thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Jay Dee BJ spoke after the fight, saying 'The meaning of being a fighter is to give it all your best shot, and come back even stronger. This time I have lost, and I'm sorry for disappointing you all, but I promise to train harder and come back into the octagon next time an even better fighter.'.
