Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bart Gamble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bart Gamble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Reed!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Reed slams his shin into Gamble's torso.
Reed fails with the takedown.

Gamble closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gamble lands in his opponent's guard.
Reed trying to strike off his back.
Reed working a defensive guard but Gamble passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gamble prevents Reed from improving his position.
Reed slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reed wants to stand and escape but Gamble is having none of it.
Gamble might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Reed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gamble manages to get himself to full guard.

Reed working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Reed looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Reed trying to control but Gamble is working from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gamble avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Reed pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gamble is keeping the position for now.
Reed is looking to advance position but Gamble has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Reed regains half guard.

Reed kicks off Gamble and gets to his feet.

Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gamble paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gamble throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reed looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Reed throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Bart Gamble has been cut.
Reed tries a head kick but it misses.
Reed shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gamble but Gamble pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Gamble gets the takedown into side control.
Reed is looking to get back to his feet here but Gamble is keeping cool and he's managed to take Reed's back.

Gamble working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gamble doesn't have the hooks in and Reed manages to turn into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but David Reed will probably get the nod.

Gamble darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Reed is looking to control Gamble's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reed avoid being mounted?

Reed controls Gamble momentarily but Gamble frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gamble accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gamble could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Reed is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gamble defends well.

Reed preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Reed is trying to keep Gamble in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gamble uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reed.
David Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reed tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gamble fails to land the takedown.
Reed shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
As Reed tries to get set, Gamble tries to push him back and clinch up but Reed manages to avoid the attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Reed clinches up with Gamble and pushes him back against the cage.

Reed breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gamble on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Gamble throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reed's waist but Reed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gamble off to one side.
Gamble shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reed pinned against the cage. Reed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bart Gamble. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reed goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gamble shoots in and drives through. Reed sprawls well.

David Reed seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Gamble scores with a kick to the midsection.
Reed shoots in for a takedown but Gamble shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Reed plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Gamble shoots for a double leg takedown but Reed sprawls well. He's pushed Gamble's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reed wants to counter the offense by Gamble and move into the clinch position.

Gamble closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reed to the mat! Reed manages to get full guard.
Gamble tries to stand but Reed is controlling from the bottom.
Reed thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Gamble throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reed works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reed throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Reed scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Reed lands a head shot.
Gamble fails with the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gamble looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Reed!

Reed is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gamble avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Horrible takedown attempt by Gamble or perhaps it was just good defense by Reed, which made it look bad.
A solid leg kick lands there for Reed.
Reed throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gamble's head.

Reed avoids the head kick by Gamble.
Gamble misses with a takedown attempt
and Reed counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Gamble! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Reed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Reed!
