Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Ziadouh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Ziadouh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Ziadouh!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziadouh connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rock. Rock circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ziadouh has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ziadouh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rock.

Rock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ziadouh did well to prevent Rock getting side control.

Rock is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ziadouh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rock.

Rock is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ziadouh is just riding it out for now. Rock eventually gives up the hold.
Rock is looking to take a break and control but Ziadouh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rock looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Rock is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ziadouh defends it well.
Ziadouh is looking to control Rock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ziadouh avoid being mounted?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rock not doing much here.
Rock is looking to stall here but Ziadouh recovers full guard.
Rock is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Rock trying to control but Ziadouh is working from the bottom.

Rock thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rock is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Rock stands up from Ziadouh's guard - Rock perhaps looking for a knockout.

Rock is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ziadouh's half guard.
Rock wants to take a breather but Ziadouh is having none of it.

Rock decides to stand up.
Rock gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Ziadouh uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rock has time to react.
Ziadouh is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Ziadouh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rock sprawls well initially but Ziadouh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Rock is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ziadouh is trying to control. Rock wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Ziadouh is looking for a kimura here.
Rock wants to improve his position but Ziadouh is controlling well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ziadouh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rock keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ivan Ziadouh will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rock with a poor takedown
and Ziadouh scores with a counter punch that sends Rock to the canvas! Ziadouh smells blood - he's punishing Rock with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Rock has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
