And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuzmenko lands an overhand right.
Kuzmenko getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kuzmenko wants to clinch.
Sukayev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kuzmenko swivels and escapes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kuzmenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sukayev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kuzmenko defends well and Sukayev ends up having to push Kuzmenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kuzmenko throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sukayev lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kuzmenko lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuzmenko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sukayev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sukayev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kuzmenko sprawls and moves away.
Sukayev throws a body shot but no joy.
Kuzmenko tries to clinch but Sukayev moves out of range.
Sukayev ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sukayev misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kuzmenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Sukayev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sukayev has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Kuzmenko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kuzmenko wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Haleb Sukayev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kuzmenko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Kuzmenko is trying to break the clinch but Sukayev is controlling him.

Sukayev wants to take the fight to the mat but Kuzmenko manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kuzmenko wants to stall.
Sukayev has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kuzmenko avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kuzmenko lands with a right to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kuzmenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kuzmenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kuzmenko steps into range and cracks Sukayev with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Sukayev flops backwards and Kuzmenko dives into his guard looking to finish!
Kuzmenko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kuzmenko is looking to stand up but Sukayev won't let him.
Kuzmenko content to stall in guard here.
Kuzmenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sukayev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sukayev trying to keep a closed guard but Kuzmenko is proving a slippery customer.

Kuzmenko is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Sukayev is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kuzmenko is looking to stand up but Sukayev won't let him.
Sukayev is working an open guard so Kuzmenko takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A combination from Kuzmenko does no damage.
Andriy Kuzmenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kuzmenko scores with a jab to the jaw.
Sukayev keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kuzmenko.
Sukayev goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Despite the aggression on Kuzmenko's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Kuzmenko misses with a double jab.
Kuzmenko with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kuzmenko throws a big shot that misses.
Sukayev bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kuzmenko's head backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kuzmenko pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kuzmenko feints with a jab and clips Sukayev right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Sukayev is sent crashing into the canvas and Kuzmenko leaps in for the kill! Sukayev tries to get to his feet but Kuzmenko is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Sukayev is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andriy Kuzmenko!
