Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ichi Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rimhak Wonha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ichi Takeshi had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichi Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rimhak Wonha!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wonha looks to land a body kick but Takeshi moved away.
Takeshi jabs Wonha right on the nose. Wonha blinks but takes it well.
Takeshi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wonha slaps away a takedown attempt from Takeshi, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Wonha darts in and clinches Takeshi up against the cage.
Wonha throws an elbow but it misses.
Takeshi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wonha walks away with a smile on his face. Takeshi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ichi Takeshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wonha tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takeshi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Takeshi scores with a jab to the body.
Takeshi throws a hook to the side of Wonha's head but Wonha sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A little jabbing left from Wonha on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Takeshi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Takeshi closes the distance and clinches up with Wonha, looking for a takedown. Takeshi pushes Wonha against the cage but Wonha circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Takeshi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Takeshi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Takeshi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wonha.
Wonha only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Wonha has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Wonha lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Takeshi at a distance.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wonha tries to clinch but Takeshi moves out of range.

Wonha lands a big head kick that sends Takeshi tumbling to the mat! Wonha takes a step backwards and waves Takeshi back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Ichi Takeshi has been cut.
Wonha explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Wonha gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wonha stuns Takeshi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Ichi Takeshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wonha attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Takeshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wonha is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Takeshi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Takeshi throws a body punch but Wonha moves out of range.

Takeshi appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Takeshi, as that shot connected.
Takeshi dives in and grabs Wonha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wonha pushes down on Takeshi's head and hops out.

We've been hearing good reports from Takeshi's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Wonha stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takeshi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Takeshi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wonha can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Wonha lands a good knee to the midsection. Takeshi won't want to take too many of those.

Wonha has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Takeshi - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Wonha, and another! Takeshi is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
