Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ichiro Kosugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ichiro Kosugi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Ray!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kosugi - that will leave a mark!
A jab from Ray finds it's way through Kosugi's defenses.

Kosugi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ray connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ray lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ray with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kosugi to score with a decent uppercut.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kosugi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ray is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ichiro Kosugi.
I think Ray has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
