Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janne Kahko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janne Kahko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luciano Garza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Janne Kahko!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Garza.
Kahko misses with a series of wild punches.
Garza is looking for a counter combo.
Garza blocks a low kick nicely.

Kahko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Garza was covering up waiting for the punch and Kahko finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kahko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kahko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Garza circles away.
Garza shoots for a double leg takedown but Kahko sprawls well. He's pushed Garza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kahko misses with a head kick.
Kahko shoots in for a double leg but Garza sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kahko throws a body kick that misses.
Garza takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kahko misses with a takedown attempt - Garza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Luciano Garza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Janne Kahko.

Kahko closes the distance and clinches up with Garza, looking for a takedown. Kahko pushes Garza against the cage but Garza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Garza is defended easily by Kahko.

Kahko has managed to clinch.
Garza is trying to push Kahko away but Kahko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Garza jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kahko walks away with a smile on his face. Garza gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kahko has managed to clinch.
Kahko is trying to break the clinch but Garza has him pressed against the cage.
Garza tries to pull guard but Kahko holds him up against the cage and eventually Garza drops back down to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kahko has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Garza uses from the top position.

Kahko has his foot on Garza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Garza works his way back into a safe position though.
Garza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kahko seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Garza trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Garza wants to stand and escape but instead Kahko has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Garza wants to sweep but no luck.

Garza is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Garza preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Garza is breathing heavily.
Kahko passes into half guard.
Kahko is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Let's hope that Kahko has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Janne Kahko dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Garza throws a wild hook but Kahko just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Garza gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Kahko raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Janne Kahko!
Janne Kahko got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
