Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papu moves away from the strike by Maeda.
Maeda shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Papu as he avoids it easily.
Maeda takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Papu lands a jab to the head.
A jab from Papu misses.
Papu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maeda was well out of range. Poor timing from Papu.
A cross from Papu lands.
Maeda avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Papu has taken the fight to the clinch.
Papu scores with a shot to the side of Maeda's head.
Maeda has picked Papu up - he's going for a ride! Maeda dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maeda throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Papu felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Papu is refusing to be controlled, as Maeda sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Papu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Maeda's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Maeda's back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I really don't envy Maeda right now.

Maeda really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Papu's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.
