PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Branco Bozic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jutta Hanolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bozic's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Boom Biddy Bye Bye by Cypress Hill. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Branco Bozic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jutta Hanolla!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Bozic throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bozic tries to clinch but Hanolla is having none of it.

Hanolla clinches with his opponent.
Bozic tries to stall but Hanolla uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bozic misses with a punch on the inside.
Hanolla tries to throw a body punch but Bozic avoids it by throwing Hanolla back against the cage.
Bozic holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Hanolla fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The referee is keeping an eye on Hanolla - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Hanolla lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bozic backwards.
Hanolla prevents Bozic from breaking the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hanolla breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hanolla sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Good work by Bozic as he checks the leg kick.
Hanolla looks to score with a jab to the body but Bozic is just out of range.

and Hanolla counters with a straight right hand.
Bozic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hanolla darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hanolla throws a jab but it's blocked by Bozic.
Bozic jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hanolla changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hanolla avoids the head kick by Bozic.
Bozic is looking to slow Hanolla down with leg kicks.
Hanolla lands a nice hook to Bozic's body. Bozic takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hanolla pushes Bozic away with a front kick.
Bozic misses with a low kick.
Bozic lands a leg kick that knocks Hanolla off balance momentarily.

Hanolla sends Bozic crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hanolla is motioning to the referee to let Bozic up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Bozic is rocked!

It looks like Branco Bozic has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bozic switches off momentarily and Hanolla cracks him with a monster right hand! Bozic topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Hanolla dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Hanolla!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jutta Hanolla!
A relieved looking Jutta Hanolla thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
