Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Baxter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel Baxter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webster fails in his attempt to clinch.
Baxter looks for the body kick but Webster saw that one coming.

Baxter sizes up Webster with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Baxter is looking to clinch but Webster is avoiding it.

Webster gets caught flat footed, as Baxter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Baxter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Webster manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baxter manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baxter is looking for a triangle but Webster pushes his legs off easily.

Baxter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Webster makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Baxter is adopting a defensive guard.
Let's hope that Baxter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Webster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Baxter seems keen to control Webster's posture.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Webster thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Baxter shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Baxter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Webster is looking to control Baxter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Webster avoid being mounted?

Baxter looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Baxter wants to stand up but Webster manages to regain full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Webster wants to stand and escape but Baxter is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baxter is fighting to break Webster's control of his arms but Webster is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Baxter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Webster misses with a few strikes there.
A slapping leg kick lands for Baxter.
Webster fails with an attempt to clinch.
Baxter lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Webster is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Webster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baxter swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Baxter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Webster throws out the jab.

Baxter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Baxter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Baxter trying to control the position from guard on top but Webster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Baxter drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Webster manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Baxter has Webster in his guard.

Baxter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Webster's guard.

Baxter stays in close to Webster's body and controls the position.

Baxter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baxter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Baxter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Baxter clinches up with Webster and pushes him back against the cage.
Webster tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Baxter has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Webster clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Baxter patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Webster trying to get back to his feet but Baxter is in full control for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Webster trying to control the hands but Baxter won't let him.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Baxter controlling the positon.

Baxter looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Webster taps!
